Guides
Seven or ten days: choose, then breathe.
Two trip frameworks for discovering Senegal without collecting stops.
Seven days: at most two bases
Days 1–2: arrival and discovery of one Dakar area. Day 3: an island if crossing conditions suit. Day 4: transfer to the Petite Côte. Days 5–6: a nature outing around Somone or Bandia and free time. Day 7: return with a buffer before departure. This is an editorial framework; if flights arrive late or leave early, remove an activity rather than compressing transfers.
Ten days: give a second region more time
One option is three days around Dakar, a day to change bases and four days in Saloum, then the final two days for the return and a buffer. You can also stay on the Petite Côte. Do not automatically add Saloum to every other stop: extra time is first an opportunity to experience places more fully.
Put your priorities ahead of the framework
Save three places that appeal to you and look at how they are spread out. Add event dates if they suit your stay, then check transfers, visiting conditions and weather. Meals, rest and encounters deserve room too. The experimental builder remains available to try an arrangement; V2 will integrate dates and constraints in more detail.
