LEYDIMEN · EDITORIAL NOTES

Your first Senegal, without the rush.

A way to connect Dakar, the islands and the Petite Côte while leaving time to enjoy the journey.

Start with a base

Our editorial advice: begin with Dakar if your stay centres on the capital and its islands. Leave room between arrival, settling in and your first outing. Transfers are not sightseeing time.

Give an island room to breathe

Gorée and Ngor speak to different wishes. The first calls for time to understand a place of remembrance; the second invites an island pause. Avoid treating them as two boxes to tick in one day. Confirm crossings and returns.

Change your pace on the Petite Côte

If your stay allows, plan a second base around the Petite Côte. Somone can anchor a nature break. Do not automatically combine a lagoon outing with a reserve visit without checking transfers and conditions.

Keep an open day

A meeting, different weather, a wish to linger: your plan needs room to breathe. Our builder leaves open days when the catalogue cannot suggest a suitable stop. Confirm prices and hours with providers.
